Just a 5-minute walk away is the old harbor of Monnickendam, where you can discover several cozy restaurants. The recreational area 'Hemmeland' is a 20-minute walk away, ideal for a relaxing walk and a refreshing dip in the water. 10 minutes away by car is the Theetuin in Overleek, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch and take a relaxing boat ride in an electric whisper boat. Amsterdam is easily accessible within 20 minutes by public transportation. Also explore nearby Edam, Volendam, Marken (10-15 minutes by car) and Haarlem (40 minutes away), all of which are worth visiting.<\/p>\n

  • Visit the Theetuin in Overleek and rent an electric whisper boat via theetuinoverleek.nl<\/li>\n
  • Explore Amsterdam's 'Jordaan' area and take a canal cruise<\/li>\n
  • Visit the 12 windmills at 'Zaanse Schans'<\/li>\n
